Asbjorn Bjaanes – Trainer

Ashtanga Yoga Teacher, Explorer, and Transformational Coach

Your practice is always evolving, and so is the teaching that supports it. Asbjorn has been on the mat since 2009, and what began as curiosity has deepened into a lifelong commitment to Ashtanga yoga, to personal growth, and to the kind of teaching that meets you exactly where you are.

A Practice That Shapes a Teacher

The challenges you face on the mat, Asbjorn has faced too. That experience of learning, adapting, and finding your way through difficulty is at the heart of how he teaches. Every session is shaped by years of honest practice and a genuine belief that the mat is one of the best places to discover what you are capable of.

Training Rooted in Strong Lineage

Holding an E-RYT® 500 certification from Yoga Alliance, with 300 hours of training under Kino MacGregor and Tim Feldmann, Asbjorn brings a depth of knowledge that goes well beyond technique. That foundation in authentic Ashtanga lineage is something you will feel in every adjustment, every cue, and every class.

Yoga, Travel, and the Coaching Perspective

Asbjorn is an avid traveler, and those experiences, different cultures, landscapes, and ways of seeing the world, have quietly shaped the way he teaches and the perspective he brings to the practice. Learning, for him, is not confined to the studio.

As a professional coach accredited by the ICF, with a background in business, executive, and team coaching, Asbjorn brings a rare lens to yoga teaching: one that connects what happens on the mat to how you show up in the rest of your life. The physical practice and the inner work are not separate things.

Where You Can Take This

Whether you are stepping onto the mat for the first time or returning to deepen a practice you have carried for years, Asbjorn’s teaching offers you a path that is both rigorous and deeply personal. Mindfulness, discipline, and self-exploration are not just concepts here. They become something you can feel, practice, and carry with you.
